Second album from the New Zealand doom metal torturers and amplifier worshippers. First half of the album delivers Thorr’s Hammer and Khanate inspired extreme doom as usual. The second half is an experiment on simultaneously channeling Corrupted’s crushing monolith Paso Inferior and Lou Reed’s droning cacophony “Metal Machine Music”.
The Belgian band explore heavy psych, tribal rhythms, free-jazz freakouts, meditative drone and the vast, shadowy spaces in between. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 22, 2020
