Bands like this are why I love this label so much. The perfect blend of raw black metal and Middle Eastern melodies. One of a kind. FFO गौतम बुद्ध and Mulla.
Favorite track: Esfandiyar.
Moving expression of a native son’s pride in Persia’s glorious past—and hope for a brighter future for her. The righteous anger of the black metal fits, as does the quiet melancholy of the classical songs, which display exquisite musicianship. Combining the two brings a powerful cultural force to bear on the small-minded, and beauty for all.
This is not those delusional tales uncovered from the mirage desert of ancient East, this is an ardent dedication and truthful manifesto written for the true blood and tear shed by Persian folks under those two centuries of silence and suffering. Over the past 5 years of this one-man project's existence, Akvan has already gain himself huge recognition among underground fans by standing as one of the most fervent deviant forces against the hegemonic oppression of religion. Drawing inspirations from Pre-Islamic Persian folklores and tales, as well as Iran's real historical events, Akvan has gradually matured his unique writing style that combines surging riffs of gloomy black metal with archaic yet solemn melodies of Persian traditional folk. This all cumulated in his most recent ep titled Two Centuries ov Silence released in the winter of 2020, a work that pays homage to Abdolhossein Zarrinkoub and his eponymous book. This ep will be reissued by Pest Productions this April, with three bonus tracks: 2 tracks of EP “ثریا / Soraya” and one single “حلبچه / Halabja”. Stay tuned.

I really love this band, the whole concept is amazing for me. I’m so glad that I bought a cd. I love everything that has to do with Russia, and lately post- black metal is as good as their old school, amazing writers.
A must have for a black metal fan. Доберман Сатз
