It's weird, I spent a lot of time with "Devour the Sun", but for some reason, each album after, much less time was spent. Now at the end of 2023 I've been really sinking into Vvilderness' albums. They're each equally incredible works of art. At first listen, maybe one or two songs might grab me, but then after giving the full album a listen a handful of times, it gets harder to pick a favorite. Tim

Russian Atmospheric / Post-Black Metal. This is simply stunningly beautiful & I cannot get enough! The atmospheres created are just magic! Plus the changes in tempo & the additonal post-BM elements mean that this never gets boring for me. I could not possibly have a favourite song either... :) Highly recommended! bmurator
Tokyo band contrast black metal's brutal complexity with shoegaze's abyssal grandeur, resulting in an LP that feels crushing, yet infinite. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 24, 2022

Very atmospheric, a perfect winter soundscape. Each of the 5 pieces are their own distinct work, but they complement each other so well that it makes it a good hour of atmospheric black metal that you want to finish in one sit through (or winter hike). Marty
