Swedish band with a Greek title signed on a Chinese label: sign me up! Good lyrics, ideology, visuals. Very good concept.
Favorite track: Holókaustos, or the Justification and Affirmation of Hierarchical Order by the Symbolism of Immolations.

Incredibly aggressive, sharp, and cutting, this isn’t “war metal” by genre definition, but this is metal for war, the genre rendition of a general shouting orders as he leads the charge, a collection of black metal anthems for revolution that combines driving aggression with a triumphal spirit best captured in the choral shout-along refrains of the final track. Heavy music often gets described as “pummeling,” but this feels less like blunt-force trauma and more like being shot full of arrows.
Favorite track: The Great Debt-Strike II: Jubilee.

"Ἀφέσεως σημασία!" ...as such, the seven trumpets blow their final reckoning --- a concomitant torrents of shouting, of warning, a thunderous call to arms that traverses heavens and earth, just so those fettered ones could rekindle their strength and hope in their frail bodies encrusted by untruthful rust through those years of passive slumber, so that they can restore their faith in their hands and direct their fury of perpetual rebellion against those deceitful leaders - down with those regimes led by nothing but false idols, their ludicrous crowns and ignominious deeds shall be trampled under the iron trail of the harbingers: martyrs will sing their eternal praises when Armageddon comes, upon the Day of Wrath a new Sun dawns.
After their widely acclaimed debut full lengthЧому не вийшло? (2018), TRESPASSERS has led a triumphant return with ἈΠΟΚΆΛΥΨΙΣ. This Swedish duo made their left-wing political stance quite evident at the beginning of their career. They openly described their music as sonic tributes to figures such as Nestor Markhno and other spirits of anarchy and freedom. Inspired hugely by the Book of Revelation and the writings of David Graeber, ἈΠΟΚΆΛΥΨΙΣ offers seven odes of militant Blackened Death, and according to the band themselves, intending to celebrate everlasting insurrection and serving as a righteous counterattack of hope and faith against the profit-craving totalitarian machines. This is arguably one of the strongest proclamations under the blanket of RABM in recent years. Highly recommended to fans of Marduk, Angelcorpse, Minenwerfer, and Graupel.
