Checked this album out on a whim after getting an email about its release from a Pest Productions. Had never heard of them until then. This album has quickly grown on me and I love it from beginning to end.
If I had to pick a favorite track it'd probably be Oh Sea as it's a great send-off, and just a perfect closing song. Favorite track: Oh Sea.

Nothing is perfect and enduring; a broken heart, even after emotional mending, cannot contain the overflow of sorrow...
Many fans of depressive black metal/post-black metal are no strangers to this Italian band named after an ancient art of repairing objects, KINTSUKUROI. In 2021, the first physical release under the name of KINTSUKUROI, i.e. 'Ode to Loneliness and Sorrow,' was put out by Pest Productions. This compilation included their first EP and some cover songs, receiving unanimous praise from the post black metal community.
Now, the band has finally completed their long-awaited debut full-length album, 'About Emotions,' which features eight tracks composed over a decade. They have also collaborated with guest artists from Thy Light and Sojourner. As the autumn winds rustle, let us sink into the deep purple sea, forgetting the alienation and indifference among pale urban souls.

I’ve owned the Imperfect disc for a bit now, but had slept on the rest of the material, with the exception of Disquiet, until now. Much different than my normal dissonant, occult sound fare, but everything Unrequited creates is bursting at the seams with power and emotion. Respect and support.
