We are thrilled to bring to you the first batch from our upcoming Lost Nocturne series. While known for his splendid work in the Italian neoclassical band Ashram, Luigi Rubino's solo project, especially his debut full length A Theme For The Moon, is also well acclaimed amongst the fans of the neoclassical movement. His evocative pieces always resemble those faraway journeys into the backflow of time, with shades of autumnal childhood joy and tears —— journeys that one never set foot in, but felt an distant and intimate calling the moment Rubino's music fiddles your heartstrings. And this magic is still present in L'Attesa, Luigi Rubino's new studio recording in five years: The ethereal melodies of piano quietly weave into the melancholic silk-ish female chants, like curtains of raindrops immersing into the gurgling streams, moving backwards, gently, towards the end of time where everything is shrouded in a glaring halo.
