A mesmerizing masterpiece that skillfully transgresses the genre boundaries, the second full-length Por Nós da Ventania of the Brazilian duo Vauruvã invites listeners once again into their soundscape of dreams. Similar to their debut, Vauruvã follows the path directly branched off from the legacy of Kaatayra (his highly acclaimed previous project), which blends in elements from various genres -- with more prominent influences from (post) hardcore this time -- into their already trademarked style of Black Metal: atmospheric, grandiose, and equally sorrowful. If you are already familiar with Kaatayra's almost poetic flow of silky melodies and superbly crafted riffs, this is THE album you have to check out.
Pest Productions will handle the physical release of this gem as digipak CDs. For fans of Agalloch, Panopticon, Volahn (and perhaps Fall of Efrafa, too). Stay tuned.

El día en que Lemos soltó la guitarra eléctrica y el bombo de batería, y reemplazó la frialdad del amplificador por el surdo, el afoxé y el reco-reco, fue el momento para que el imperio de la distorsión, tan esperable en el black metal, cediera el paso a la calidez acústica y la franqueza. Todo el Inpariquipê está urdido por una brillante vitalidad que apuesta por aquello inmenso, trascendental al humano, ¡con tal fulgor debería vivirse!

From the same mastermind behind Kaatayra and Bríi comes Vauruvã, an atmospheric black metal project in similar folksome fashion, just a lot of more aggressive. I am a fan of the style of music this guys puts out. 7/10
